# Referral Programme Terms

These terms govern the Distro referral programme ("**Refer & Earn**") operated on [distro.gg](https://distro.gg). By sharing your referral code or redeeming someone else's, you agree to these terms, our [Terms of Service](https://distro-gg.gitbook.io/docs/legals/terms-of-service) and our [Privacy Policy](https://distro-gg.gitbook.io/docs/legals/privacy-policy).

### How it works

1. Every Distro account has a unique referral code, available from **Refer & Earn** in your account menu.
2. Share your code (or your referral link) with a friend.
3. Your friend enters the code in the promo code box at checkout when paying for their **first live auction win**. **£10** is deducted from their order.
4. Once your friend's order is paid, **£10 of account credit** is added to your Distro balance automatically.

### The friend's discount (£10 off)

To qualify, all of the following must be true:

* The code is applied to the friend's **first ever live listings order** on Distro. Eligibility is checked automatically at checkout — customers who have purchased before (on any of their accounts) will not be able to apply the code.
* The order contains a **live auction win**. Referral codes cannot be used on standard shop orders.
* The order total is **£25 or more** (including delivery).
* The code is entered in the promo code box on the payment page at the time of purchase. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively to completed orders.

The discount is **£10 per person, once**. One referral code may be used per order, and referral codes cannot be combined with other discounts or credit applied to the same checkout.

### The referrer's reward (£10 credit)

* You receive **£10 of Distro account credit** when a friend's qualifying order is **paid in full**, not when they sign up or bid.
* Credit is added to your account balance automatically and can be applied against any future Distro order from your basket.
* There is **no limit** on how many friends you can refer — each qualifying friend earns you £10.
* You will not receive a reward for orders placed using **your own code on your own account**, or on accounts we reasonably believe are controlled by you.

### Refunds and reversals

If a referred order is refunded or cancelled, the £10 reward associated with it will be reversed and removed from the referrer's balance. If the balance has already been spent, we may deduct the amount from future credit.

### Fair use

We may withhold, revoke or reverse rewards, disable referral codes, or exclude accounts from the programme where we reasonably believe there has been misuse — including (but not limited to) self-referral through multiple accounts, fake or purchased accounts, misleading promotion of codes (for example posting them as general discount codes on voucher sites), or any fraudulent activity.

### General

* Account credit and referral discounts are promotional benefits. They have **no cash value**, cannot be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged for money.
* We may amend, suspend or end the referral programme at any time. Changes will not affect rewards already earned.
* These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
